Amanda Gabriele, a writer who tried the gold wings in 2018 when they were launched, described them as “surprisingly delicious.”

She stated that the sweet honey barbecue flavor was evident right away, but the spicy chipotle flavors came through with every bite. We felt our mouths tingle by the end. It was a spicy level we would consider medium.

One customer who had previously eaten a piece of Nusr-Et meat wrapped in gold told DailyMail.com it was the best steak he had ever tasted. However, he wasn’t sure if the gold was what made it so special.

He said, however, that the metallic morsel was more glamorous than the average chop and attracted a lot attention from other diners.
